I've survived my first 2 weeks of highschool!!! Ok it isn't that bad. I really enjoy it. I aced my Spanish quiz today and my history test. I really like Spanish, I even joined Spanish club. In Spanish club you get to go to Mexican restaurants every quarter or so and order in Spanish. You also get to go bowling. I can't wait for baseball to start even though it doesn't start till spring. I'm going to be pretty busy with band soon because I have to march at all of the home football games. I also get to go to the University of Missouri next week and march during one of their football games. You have to admit that's pretty cool. That's all for now.

I just started highschool 3 days ago and it's great. The first few days have been a little hectic though. Partly because we have 500 people in a school made for 300. I have some really good classes though. I have band first hour, then body conditioning, then English honors, then physics honors, and then I have lunch. After lunch I have Spanish, then American history, then Algebra 2. They're all fun, especially Spanish and algebra 2. Right now I'm playing baritone in band. I used to play trumpet but my band teacher needed some low brass instruments and she asked if I would play baritone. Baritone is kind of like a tuba but just a little different. But highschool has been great so far and I look forward to the rest of the year.

I recently went on a trip to Maryland to see my Uncle Terry, Aunt Barb, and my five cousins. We had lots of fun. We went to the zoo together and got to see the baby panda. We also went to the National Archives and saw the Declaration of Independence. On our way to Philadelphia we went and saw a really cool play called Ruth, which everyone liked. In Philidelphia we got to see Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Benjamin Franklin's post office and house, and Betsy Ross's house. When we were at Betsy Ross's house it started to rain really hard and we had to buy three dollar ponchos which looked like trashbags. We got a lot of laughs out of that. I forgot to mention that we went to the National Aquarium and Valley Forge. Beccah, Noelle, and Elaine always kept things interesting. Our last day there we got to see a movie called Zoom and we got to eat at the Stone Cold Creamery. That place has the best ice cream in the world. We played soccer a lot and we played Lord of the Rings Risk. Overall it was a great vacation and I really enjoyed spending time with my cousins (Beccah, Noelle, Elaine, Cory, Annalee) and my Uncle Terry and Aunt Barb.
